CHALLENGE

A 20-member field force  spread across six states faced mounting pressure to sharpen their medication’s competitive positioning, speed prior authorizations to ensure patient access, and maximize time spent on high-value HCP relationships rather than administrative tasks – all while maintaining excellence across multiple portfolios. Despite strong technical comfort levels, only 59–64% of the team were actively using AI tools. They needed more than generic training – they needed a practical, role-specific approach to AI enablement that would drive measurable impact in their day-to-day work.

SOLUTION

CMK Select implemented a tailored 90-day AI Enablement Program focused on clarity, usability, and measurable outcomes for pharma field teams. The program began with an assessment and discovery phase, where each team member completed an AI maturity assessment to identify individual skill levels and pain points.

During the integration phase, participants collaborated in hands-on workshops to design and pilot custom AI tools directly addressing their strategic priorities. Among the solutions developed were competitive battle cards to strengthen competitive positioning, a data-driven algorithm to focus on high-impact relationships, a predictive analytics tool to accelerate patient access, and a  collaboration hub to enhance internal communication and coordination.

The final training and leadership phase focused on sustainability—empowering participants to become internal AI champions. Through peer mentoring and advanced use case development, the team built confidence, collaboration, and lasting capability across the group and organization.

IMPACT AND VALUE REALIZED

Within just 90 days, the field force achieved a 95%+ AI adoption rate, transforming AI from a theoretical concept into a practical, everyday advantage. The program delivered tangible efficiency gains, saving 10–20 hours per person each month—a total of 220–440 hours reclaimed teamwide. Team satisfaction exceeded 85%, with participants reporting significant increases in confidence, clarity, and productivity. The MSL group achieved 100% adoption, leading the way as natural AI champions who helped sustain engagement beyond the initial program.
